Attack on Elden Ring

Attack on Titan Tribute Game 2’s ODM gear inside Elden Ring. Both real games run at the same time:
AoTTG2 runs alongside and handles your movement, hooks and blades; Elden Ring draws the world and
runs its enemies, health and menus. A passthrough mod in the sense of the
AI Game Modding Guides (route 1 + 2).

Status: experimental, work in progress. Play offline only. Unofficial fan project, not affiliated with
FromSoftware, Bandai Namco or the AoTTG2 team. Built with AI assistance (Claude Code). No game
files are included: you need your own copies of both games.

What works (tested by playing)

  • Tarnished mode: link with F7 in AoTTG2, then play from Elden Ring’s window. Elden Ring plays the
Tarnished’s own walk/run animations and faces the right way; AoTTG2 runs the movement and ODM
physics in the background, reading your keyboard and mouse globally.
  • Elden Ring’s ground, walls and caves are copied into AoTTG2 around you, so you walk, climb and
ODM-swing on Elden Ring’s world. Hooks catch Elden Ring terrain and enemies.
  • An Elden Ring-style follow camera that turns with the mouse; a crosshair (green when a hook would
catch) and the ODM cables are drawn as click-through overlay windows.
  • Linked tuning: ground speed matches the Tarnished’s (jog / sprint), lower Shift jumps, slower ODM,
and the Tarnished does Elden Ring’s jump in mid-air.
  • Falling, fall damage and death are handled; a safety net catches falls through the copy.
  • AoTTG2 is kept offline: every multiplayer connection is blocked.

Settings

BepInEx/config/aoer.bridge.cfg in AoTTG2’s folder, re-read every time you press F7 to link:
JumpHeightPercent (default 40), CameraDistance (metres, default 4), OdmSpeedPercent (default 80).

Not working yet

  • Blade hits on Elden Ring enemies (milestone 7). Long-range hooks are built but untested.
  • The crosshair and cables also show over Elden Ring’s menus. Occasional wall clipping.
  • Soldier mode (drawing AoTTG2’s soldier into Elden Ring) is parked; its D3D12 hooks coincided with
display-driver resets, so they are switched off.

See docs/DESIGN.md for the plan and docs/STATUS.md / MODLOG.md for test results.

AI assistant

The bridge also serves Game Assistant, an AI
assistant you talk to while you play (its Elden Ring adapter reads this bridge, with its own ray
channel). The assistant itself lives in that repository.

Requirements

Full list with exact versions, download links, checksums and licences: docs/COMPATIBILITY.md.

  • Windows x64
  • Elden Ring (Steam), App Ver. 1.17.1 (eldenring.exe 2.7.1.0, Steam build 25080141). Other versions are refused.
  • AoTTG2 1.2.3 (aottg2.itch.io/aottg2), run directly from Aottg2.exe
  • me3 v0.13.0 for Elden Ring, and
    BepInEx 6.0.0-be.788 (IL2CPP x64) installed into AoTTG2’s folder
  • To build: LLVM-MinGW 20261006,
the .NET SDK 8.0, and Python 3.12

Offline only. Elden Ring starts through me3 without Easy Anti-Cheat and with its own save file
(ER0000.aoer.sl2). Never take a modded game online.

Setup (short version)

  1. Put LLVM-MinGW in .tools/compiler/, me3 in .tools/me3/, the .NET SDK in .tools/dotnet/.
  2. Write the path of AoTTG2’s folder (the one with Aottg2.exe) on the first line of
    .local/aottg2_dir.txt.
  3. python tools/build_host.py and python tools/build_guest.py
  4. Start Elden Ring with Play-EldenRing.bat, load in; start AoTTG2 with Play-AoTTG2.bat,
spawn a soldier in single player, press F7, then click into Elden Ring’s window and play there.
