This project ports Mirror’s Edge movement and animation into Minecraft Java 26.3 as a Fabric mod. The core movement and animation logic reuses the Rust engine from faith-runner, connected through faith_ffi.dll and Java’s foreign function API. Faith’s meshes, animations and sounds are read at startup from the player’s own PC copy of the game; the repository itself contains no game files.
Functionally, Faith’s running, jumping, vaults, wall runs, climbs, slides, rolls and melee take over the Minecraft player, with vanilla movement switched off. Camera animations, first-person arms and world-space legs are shown, and each body part is lit by the block it occupies. Ladders and vines, wooden doors, stairs and slabs, hay and slime, bars and fences are mapped to climbing, door-breaking, ramps, soft landings and swing poles; the main-hand item appears in her right hand. The README states it works with Iris and Sodium, and that under a shader pack her body casts the shadow.
Limitations are explicit: multiplayer server relaxations apply only to the singleplayer owner, Reaction Time is not implemented, and arms look flat-shaded under some shader packs. Installation requires Windows, the PC game, Java 25 and specific JVM arguments, with F8, Z and R controls. Fabric client game tests and Rust engine tests are included, though animation tests only check anything when ME_INSTALL is set.
