This project is a BepInEx mod that brings Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009) multiplayer content into Risk of Rain 2, letting players use an MW2 Soldier as a new survivor. It ships no game files and instead reads weapons, attachments, camos, animations, sounds, HUD and menus from the user’s own MW2 installation. RoR2 still handles damage, items and enemies, while MW2 guns interact with RoR2 items.

Technically, the mod combines Rust and C#: the Rust side builds on IW4L-related crates for MW2 movement, weapons, animation and data, while the C# side hooks into RoR2 through BepInEx and HarmonyX. The README describes a full XP and rank system, Create-a-Class, 15 killstreaks, MW2’s HUD and minimap, and co-op support. However, these features remain experimental: the README states solo play is tested, co-op was only tested with two players before a game update, and three- or four-player lobbies and other mods are untested.

Limitations include Windows-only support, with Linux and Steam Deck untested. Balance is still being tuned, and players can snag on RoR2 geometry, requiring F6 to temporarily disable MW2 mode. The README also notes that the Thunderstore listing is pending review, so manual installation is currently required. Overall, this is an ambitious but still unverified experimental integration.
